custom badge not working

So a while back VMO had made me a custom badge for my cars, but when I go to use it I am getting errors that stop me and then the game crashes. So far this is the only mod I have used that doesnt work. is there something I have done wrong? do badges install differently then other fixtures? Because I have almost all the mods now and installed them all as the content became available so unless the steps are different, the way im installing should be correct.

Re: custom badge not working

I suppose you have asked him as you are now asking everybody on a thread.

Have you gone mad downloading badges and ended up with multiple pages? I know an error occurs when you have three or more pages of grilles.

Also, some errors causes the game to crash only in fullscreen mode, so if you are running in it, try running in windowed mode and see if the error causes the game to crash. The error, however, shall continue to appear

Re: custom badge not working

no I just figured if there was a generic reason as to why this is happening you guys would know,

second nope this is the only badge I have downloaded, I do get the standard error for my grills as I have 3 pages of them but that has never shut the game down.

and I play on a laptop and my computer cant cope with full screen so I run it in windows with the graphics turned down and none of the graphics options turned on just so I can play.

Press enter until you can put your logo: is only an advice about the UVMesh.

I have the same "problem" with my badges, but this error isn't important.

What is the error that comes up? Most errors you can copy (Ctrl+C) and paste straight to here.

Re: custom badge not working

It should be a flat plane on the x origin. It must have a single smoothing group for the polygons (precisely one group). Not zero, not 2, most certainly not 3.

Re: custom badge not working

Seems like you went crazy on the verts for either or both of the model and UVMesh.
This is not a normal error we all get when modelling stuff for the game and putting it in there. This has to do with the model you delivered.
Could you send me the .max file so I can have a look at it?

Re: custom badge not working

Also important is the correct UVmesh UV mapping.
