Re: Pre-wedge era supercar

Om man inte får lov att köra den på allmän väg så få ni komma ner till NZ med den :P allt är tillåtet där.

Just chiming in to say: This car will be awesome! Cheers!

Re: Pre-wedge era supercar

tell me something , are the cars a single unit , or are the doors and bonnet separate objects ? , because in your 70s car it seems a few components are separate while here they seem to be a single model ?

i need to know this because im in the process of developing my own .

They're in the same object, but the vertices aren't welded. In Automation, the different parts are distinguished by the material ID you assign to them (eg. whether it's the front, middle, or rear part; whether it's body color, chrome, plastic, etc.).

How it looks so far:

The smoothing is kind of effed up, but this is easier to fix on a 1960s rounded design than on a 1970s wedge-shaped design with lots of sharp edges. :)

Some minor flaws still need to be fixed (materials, UV maps, some smoothing groups, etc.), but this is an outline of how it will look in-game. Because of the width, I was able to fit a 6.5 l flat 8 inside it. :)

I am very glad I requested this body, it's superb looking. 10/10 Felgen!

I presume once the rest of the work is done, we'll be getting our hands on it?

Of course. :) It's almost finished now; all that's left are the mirrors and the modifiers. Thank you for suggesting the car.

Re: Pre-wedge era supercar

The UV mapping and the modelling is finished now. :) But it needs to be rigged. There's a black spot near the A-pillar that doesn't dissapear no matter what, though.

The largest engine that will fit with double wishbone suspension is a 6 liter flat 8.

Re: Pre-wedge era supercar

For the mysterious black polygons, make sure all the verts are welded correctly and that there is the correct number of edges (no verts floating in space with no edge etc.)

Re: Pre-wedge era supercar

It's not black in 3Ds Max.

Edit: Never mind. :D I replaced a three-edged polygon with a four-edged one and the problem disappeared.
