Re: Custom Badges
You give one person a custom badge, then everyone on the forum wants one. Not to offend anyone when I say things like this, but perhaps you should all experiment with 3D modelling programs and try and get some experience with them, so we don't just leech off those who actually have a good understanding of 3D modelling and waste their time. That being said, I'm gonna try learn some stuff on 3DSmax, as it's just sitting on my computer using up valuable hard drive space and I may as well use it for something.
Edit: This thread got off-topic real fast. Can we lock this thread? I feel like it has already served it's original purpose.

One of the reasons I didnt start making all this stuff
Also, locking the thread is a bad thing. I think its a good place where people could request their badges to be custom made.

Naturally, with the understanding that projects are to be taken on at the discretion of the artist, it's done in their own free time which is generously donated, and so a requester essentially doesn't have any right to complain about anything that they haven't paid for or been explicitly promised.
But we're not actually too bad on this front, so I'm supportive of this as a request thread. I wish I had time to invest in 3D skills (well, eventually, I plan to make time one way or the other), but right now I have to pick and choose very carefully what I invest in, so that will be something for later. In the meantime, I may be making a request myself, though privately.
EDIT: how about that, cheeseman was cooking up a requests thread with killrob as I thought about it! Good stuff!

I got a copy of 3DSmax off piratebay, but that was x64 and I can't find a decent torrent for x32, and I can't justify spending money on something that I'm not even sure will be worth it.

Technically I haven't even finished those two, I still need to convert them for Automation, all I have is the 3D models made. Since I don't have round the clock access to 3DS max (which is required to convert it to a format automation can use).
