Well actually I'd also like to add that this is probably being a bit greedy, but I wondered how difficult it would be to get morphing on the whole arch as opposed to just the top? M1 procars ran 285 fronts and 325 rears (though that was achieved with bolt-on widebody kit), but altering the bones to do that here caused much ridiculousness

Also, unfortunately, could not fit the longitudinal 3453cc i6, but that's a frequent problem with the i6 and all bodies so that's no biggie.

Hopefully that will be possible when they make a gearbox that looks like the one used in these cars IRL. Same as is needed to make most older Audis. (Front drive longitudinal)(sp?)

Re: Giorgetto Giugiaro style 70's sportscar (Download)

The Esprit was known for its small engine bay IRL.
The biggest engine Lotus could fit was a 3.5 V8 and that used a Renault 21 gearbox, which was terrible. Once Renault stopped making those gearboxes, the Esprit had to be killed off, since the sales were low and no other gearbox would fit in such a tight engine bay.

Edit: Nearly forgot, thank you so much Felgen!

Engine bay is actually quite large on this thing. Albeit, if you sure longitudinal mounting or double-wishbones in the back, you're not gonna fit anything bigger than like 1.5 litres(for I4's) or 3.0 litres (V8's)

But if you use macpherson struts, you can fit 3+ litre I6's and 6+ litre V8's according to what I saw when I was in the designer. Just gotta choose what matters more to you, POWAAAAAH or double wishbones.

Personally I chose POWAAAAAAAAAAAAAH.

Yeah, me too. It's just more of a personal quirk of the M1, which in a way, was rather unusual.

I've tried getting the wheel arches to work like that, but it became difficult to preserve the wedge shape and keep the polycount low at the same time. :)

Glad people liked the car.

I tried the body, for a first body it's very good. It has some good things and some flaws. You should improve it when you have more time. After you make 3 or 4 bodies you should go back to this first ones and improve them.

Re: Giorgetto Giugiaro style 70's sportscar (Download)

The one comment I would make, again from a selfish point of view, is that finding ventilation for this car is fairly difficult (that is, if putting in an engine that requires ridiculous amounts of cooling, which, in general, I do.) If it were possible to add a morph point for the bottom of the rear window, such that more space opened up like in the other MR car bodies (see the Countach for a reference), that would be awesome.

Of course, that may not suit the style of the body so well, in which case, maybe that should be saved for a different body!

I would gladly hear what you, as self-proclaimed master of all knowledge, have to fault with the lovely work of this generous man, here called, Felgen. He gave us this, working on his spare time, and it is a wonderful car.
You, sir, don't seem to be able to admire the work of others, be it Martin with his CTC, Andy and the difficulty of game art, or just thinking that because on the, rather irrelevant, Portugal market, Diesels dominate the sales now, they should be added to the game, and so on.

I honestly think you should learn to consider other people, you aren't the center of the world and you should be thankful that people invest their times to do things that you can use and enjoy.

Best Wishes, Leo
