Re: Muscle Car Wars

Every one of you guys has destroyed me in car-making design. I'd still like to try though.
Personally I'd like to see manhours and MTBF return rather than production units and reliability score of 0-100.

Re: Muscle Car Wars

Nice Car autofrank!

I can't tell from the pics, but it looked like you didn't flare the rear wheel arches. That would let you put bigger tires on, and get better acceleration. (If you did this, forget I said anything, if you didn't, you could probably shave off 1 maybe 1.5 seconds)

Re: Muscle Car Wars

Not sure if i've ever used this contraption elsewhere but i adapted it to this challenge.

So the Local Gangsters got wind of the local competition and considering Muscle Cars roots in Motorsport what would be more fitting then their own get away car entry.

Packing enough "Bling" that you know who's boss, a Modest 400 Horsepower and a 305mm/355mm slick combo to out run any Police pursuit plus a reasonable 15.6 MPG for those runs to the Border the "Gangster Chariot" Comes out fighting. Did i mention it pulls a 12.7 1/4 Mile and 40.32s Second Example track run ;)

Re: Muscle Car Wars

Junny, awesome! I love that body. I used the same body for Octan2013s Hyper hatch comp but with obvious fixture variations. At the time it reminded me of a Toyota Rukus on steroids.

I don't believe you got 515HP without breaking the rules.

Thank you. The rear tires are 255 - i was going for a stock 1960s look. are we supposed to be building modern muscle cars (like classics) that have a engine from 1960 on a modified classic body, or a car BUILT in 1960. because my car was BUILT in 1960 and that's how i designed the body.

Re: Muscle Car Wars

Built 1960, designed to go fast, so maybe looking like 1960s, maybe not.

I first thought it was a typo and was meant to be 415hp until I actually looked at the screen shots. Maybe possible with overbore SOHC engine perhaps? Regarless its funny that the car is not competitive at all even with 25% more power (:(sorry for being mean, bring the gearing down alot to a speed that is appropriate and it will be a completely different animal ;))

Re: Muscle Car Wars

Has anyone else noticed that using 2- or 4- barrel carbs reduces the life of the engine? Is this a bug or intended by the devs? I don't see why the life would be reduced, but I'm not an expert on carburetors.
