The C3 is a compact car manufactured and sold by Japanese automaker Saminda , available in 5 trims, ranging from the X (MT6) to the SpectaL (6spd AT) , This Saminda marks the transition from high-revving, naturally aspirated tradition to factory turbocharging. It isn’t likely to go back, so it’s pretty critical that Saminda gets it right.

Instead of trying to build a car intended specifically to excel in North America, Saminda went with a global platform. Benchmarks were set at the level of European luxury sedans from AMW , Cervus and Montes. Admittedly, that's a pretty lofty goal. We didn't expect that the new C3 has an AMW grade comfort while a lower price tag.

For 2014, C3 sedans get two engine options: either a naturally aspirated 1.8-liter inline-4 making 143 hp or a turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-4 pumping out a healthy 160 (177hp for SpectaL trim). The engine options are determined at the trim level, with the X powered by the 1.8-liter, while the XE , XE-L and SpectaL editions come equipped with the 1.5-liter engine.

The SpectaL trim features enchanced ''Saminda Crystal Headlight Technology''. Saminda said that the Hybrid and the Spec-V model will not be available as almost 80% of the sales is on the regular C3.

Well .... this is probably the best C3 to date when it comes to comfort, power and safety, and with base models starting at $19,000, it will be worthy of at least a look .... if not a drive home.

Saminda Motor Co. announced that Yuko Nagoya, currently the company’s R&D Chief , will become Senior Managing Officer effective in Jan 2014, and will become President, Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Shibuya Kuge : Thank you all for joining us today , i will step down as the CEO of Saminda Motor Co. and will pass my position to Yuko Nagoya which is currently the R&D Chief of Saminda , i suceeded Mr. Hiroshi Kondo and took over as CEO of Saminda on 2007 , when Saminda was going thru a massive recall of ball joint failures , more then 5 millions vehicles were affected , my immediate task was to overcome this and we finally managed to fix our reputation by 2009. Its was a crucial year which is also a diffcult task , but it's not just me alone , i want to thanks our team onces again that make Saminda what Saminda is today.

Over the pass approximately 8 years , all of you have taken such a good care of me and supporting and providing with cooperation and i would like to extend my appreciation. Thank you so much.


Mr. Yuko Nagoya : Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen , i am Yuko Nagoya , we can see Mr. Shibuya Kuge efforts of bringing Saminda up again ever since the worst massive recall ever happened in 2007 , as a new President of Saminda from tomorrow onwards , i believe it's my role to continue the future of Saminda with more exciting cars and bring value to our customers , as well as to provide new products with outstanding performance at an affordable price. In fact , this is what Saminda is good at , and meet all results of any expectation for Saminda. However , reviving Auxuras is a bit of challenging , The brand has struggled to carve out a clear identity of luxury label. The brand sold less then 200,000 units last year and sold less then 10,000 in China, hence, i will make my effort and rebulid a new ''Auxuras'' , to carve out a image of what a Luxury vehicles is.

The C5 Trider also known as ''Trider'' is a mid-sized ''Sport'' sedan manufactured by Wuhan Saminda of China a subsidiary of Saminda Motor Co. , it's only available for China market only , the Trider is shorter in length compared to the C5 , the 2014 Trider will be powered with either a 2.0-liter or 2.4-liter direct injection four cylinder gasoline engine, which will deliver about respective 156hp and 203hp. Both of the engine only comes with a 6 speed manual tranmission (only manual is available) , However , no V6 is available.

The C5 Trio is a CUV (Crossover) manufactured by Saminda , only for the Japanese Domestic Market , Obviously, Saminda has not forgotten the other target markets and here they introduced the C5 Trio , a "mixed offerings" - a luxury MPV/estate-wagon that houses seven , according to the developers built as a mixture of a sedan, minivan and station wagon in accordance with all of the modern market trends. Perhaps this looks ridiculous , combine so many different genres of car, but the result is quite impressive.

Powertrain is only available in a 2.4-liter inline-4 engine that produce 167hp.

The C3 Azbio is a Compact Car sold by Saminda for the Japanese Domestic Market , the dimensions for the C3 Azbio sold in Japan are smaller than vehicles made for export so as to remain in compliance with Japanese government regulations concerning exterior dimensions and engine displacement , which made the C3 Azbio 50mm shorter then the C3 , originally it has a 1.5-liter engine , but the 1.5-liter have been axed which will be replace by a 1.3-liter engine with electric motor (Hybrid) , the 1.1-liter turbocharged engine is still available.

The C7 is a Full-Sized Sedan manufactured by Saminda , and is the flagship sedan of Saminda in the United States , Slotting in at the top of Saminda's sedan line, the C7 has a lot in common with the Saminda C5 and the Auxuras ETL . Underneath, it rides on a front-wheel-drive architecture shared with those two, and it's powered by the same 2.4-liter inline-4 and 3.5-liter V6 in the Auxuras ETL and is mated to a all new 8-speed automatic gearbox (6-Speed for the inline-4)

The C7 was conceived, developed and is built in America for Americans, you can think of it as a larger and loaded C5 or a slightly less expensive Auxuras ETL, it occupies a unique spot in the Saminda/Auxuras lineup , between the two, it wears a Saminda badge but is priced and equipped pretty close to the Auxuras ETL with which it shares a platform and drivetrain
