i tried to make a f1-like engine that can rev high AF
i used a 2015
2 liter V8 ,N/A,5 valve
and managed it to rev like 10200 RPM and i had like 300+ horsepower but torque was crap.
it was like a honda, got hp but no torque

i tried different bore and stroke size in order to be more than 45+ reliable with no quality sliders used
also bore and stroke
if bore is small or big it cant rev high
if stroke is small or big it cant rev high also
you need to find a perfect balance there

post some pics of your high revving engines

specs

no quality sliders
cam profile 100
fuel is lean (minimum air fuel mixture)
ignition timing 100
multi injection thingy

83 horsepower per liter

the whole point of a f1 engine is to rev high and make a lot of power out of a small engine, small engines generally have less torque, the NA 3.0 and 2.4 f1 engines had 300 ft lbs or so while making 500-800 hp up around 15,000 rpms. Also current f1 engines have a 1.6 turbo v6 and they most definitely use quality sliders. here's the cosworth CA engine stats it only makes 380Nm but 770hp. http://www.cosworth.com/products/racing ... ca-series/

If you want to make an F1 engine, it needs to be massively oversquare (around 2.5:1) to maximise revs and the quality sliders need to be at 15 (the engine development budget for your average F1 engine manufacturer is $50-100 million).

The V10 engines got to 19,000rpm in 2004 and produced up to 950bhp, and the Cosworth V8 in 2006 got to 20,000rpm, before the engines were restricted to 19,000 and then 18,000rpm. The current turbo V6's are indeed limited to 15,000rpm. (P.S. GP2 cars make about 600bhp, and even the horrendous Honda turbo that McLaren used this season made 620-650 in Australia, and eventually got to about 720 by season end, so if an F1 engine rocked up with 500, they wouldn't qualify for the race.)

Here's my attempt at a 3.5L V12 F1 engine

I'm getting closer to the 600hp mark. I would be at the back of the grid but its ok, lol.

1: Did you remember to use quality sliders?
2: What is your bore:stroke ratio?

A NASCAR engine would be a lot easier to build in this game. They're limited to only 9500. And 5.9 liters unless they changed.

Forget trying to make V12s. The in-game ones are 90 deg while the real ones are more like 60.
