Re: Engine Upload

Berzerker Rennmotoren is headed by Egon Krautmann, professor of mechanical engineering and frontman for death metal band Scheißehammer. Most of his class lectures consist of shouting "DESTROY!!! GRAWRRRR!!!" and breaking university property. His racing engines are known for putting as many drivers in the morgue as on the podium, to which he says, "We're working on that. I will not settle for anything less than 100% fatalities."

I think the highest hp for an I4 is 636.5 hp @ page 5 under this topic.

Re: Engine Upload

I tried to make an engine that was more powerful than the engine in the Shelby Mustang GT1000. I also limited my self to 7.5 liters because of the Pontiac Super Duty 455 Trans Am (7.5 Liters about 455 Cubic Inches). I also wanted it to be somewhat reasonable for a production car, I originally tried with an overhead valve system (push rod) Image

Re: Engine Upload

I tried to build a fuel-economic Smart-Car Engine:

Its a 1 litre 70hp engine for a small city car with a great fuel economy.

Re: Engine Upload

After revamp, some parser for the engine files should be made - you know, you upload an engine, and some script reads its configuration, displacement, etc. from it.

Re: Engine Upload

Shouldn't be hard, quick parse from the XML file. Could even list the entire thing like the game does and use the thumb to the left of the engine, resized down.

Re: Engine Upload

After the revamp, the engines will be saved in .lua. Still should be easy to parse, especially considering the new format saves the statistics of the engine as well.

Here is my Ford Focus 2.0 Zetec-E ... am sure I could fine tune it better, but it is near enough reality.

Re: Engine Upload

This is an engine designed to replace the horrible vw 1.9 diesels. About the same power and economy, but it's an otto. If you're a huge cheapskate, it's for you.

And from the mists of time (actually from 1969 France or Romania...and probably Argentine) the engine everyone has been waiting for, no power, no refinement, and massive fuel consumption............the Renault 12/Dacia 1300 1289cm3 beast.
http://s11.postimage.org/yhcmiov1t/Auto ... _16_84.png

The bore, stroke and compression ratio are identical to the real engine. However, i couldn't get the power exactly right, the original having 40kw/54Hp @ 5250 Rpm. I'll add the engine if anyone wants to try and get it closer.

Ok, but you need expensive 98 octane fuel for this engine.
