Re: Engine Upload

Challenge for you guys.

Image

Actually, 2 separate challenges in one.
1. Increase power and torque output
OR
2. Make it more economical without dropping below 400BHP

Stipulations:
No race intake or exhaust headers.
Keep the fuel feed type as is (Direct Injection)
You need to keep the cat and mufflers untouched. Exhaust diameter is free game.
Maximum RON is 95.

Here's the XML if you'd like to take a crack at either challenge. http://www.sendspace.com/file/lqit2k

Re: Engine Upload

Nothing super fancy here, just a modern direct injected econobox motor along the lines of Mazda's Skyactiv engines. Emphasis placed on drivability and economy with a slightly sporty character.

Also, I have made the Rover A-Series engine found in the Mini Cooper from 1998 to 2001.

Finally, I decided to make the tiny high revving motorbike engine found in the 1963 Honda S500.

I did exactly the same thing though did you find you had to raise the compression slightly over the real life motor to make the power?

Re: Engine Upload

Stuck at 618 here with my engine, everything is optimised, change it by one increment either way and it gets worse.

How on earth do you get better than that.

Edit, ah, so thats what you change ;)

Re: Engine Upload

A sort of 'engine pack'. I tried to make a Yaris and a Fabia, and in this pack is also a Mini Sports Edition which I based on the engine given by CCX and an Austin A30 Sports based on the engine given by Stew2000. (Thanks to Stew2000 and CCX)P.S. It's a .zip file
http://www.mediafire.com/?8omy8qk2y948u8d
And also, a Japanese Engine Pack (Mitsu Eclipse, Suzuki Liana, Nissan Micra and) (Mazda MX-5 for thee devs)
