Engine Upload

As we know, public demo will be released in one hour after writing this post. So I decided to make a thread where those who preordered (and everyone else two weeks after) will be able to upload their engine designs, both small and large, both foodblenders and furious beasts, both cheap and expensive, both eco-boring and nomnomnoming all the fuel...

Edit. A bit more than hour. You know, quick beta check.

Edit.2 Public demo is released

Edit 3.: I believe I'm not the only one who wants to see engines running, hear them, rotate them around or modify them. And well... uploading just pictures isn't what makes that possible. I suggest posting xml files of the engines along with the pics.
the xml files of the engines are in documents/Automation/Engines. You can not only upload engines from there, but also put engines made by others in that directory in order to see them in game.

Re: Engine Upload

Did you get 550-600 hp with n/a?

Playing the demo now, I'll see how much I can squeeze out of the 4 banger :)

Re: Engine Upload

Yup. With the 3.1 N/A, to be exact. And with 2020 tech.

Re: Engine Upload

You have directory in documents, called Automation, and you have directory called engines there. Just choose your engine, and upload it via external file hosting, or via internal attachment uploading.

Re: Engine Upload

making an attempt at nortala's scenario

nortala wrote:Scenario Description
You've been engaging in a bit of industrial espionage for a few hears now and have ended up as head designer of Super Evil Motors inc. Your mission, to construct the worst engine possible and bring them down. But the engine must not fail when it's tested, or your cover will be blown.

Although I don't know enough to know what specs to use for that one - all my engines fail...

I've managed a .4 MRev engine  As per killrob's suggested requirements. it runs on kittens (ron 80 when kittens are unavailable)

pictures are so much more fun than xml files.

Background:
In alternate 1978 world, Bosmal engineers were asked to make a more powerful engine for Fiat 126p. So they welded two original I2 0.65 engines, twisted camshaft and crankshaft, so it's not Parallel I4, debored it a bit due to Automation limitations, and... it worked. Actually, it worked quite nice...

Re: Engine Upload

None of them looks cheap to manufacture... Change the factory maybe?
