Nice work. Can I take a look at the 458? Also where do you find your information about the engines, When I searched for the 458 all I could find was the displacement and hp. ft-lb, (the basic information).

It depends for a lot of engines I just go to wiki. Others are more tricky like Ferrari and require much web surfing. Car forums worked for my in the past also, like lotus and lambo, I cant specifically remember where I found those specs but I remember a very hard search. I think that I found something in an autotrend or a car and driver. That was one of my earlier ones aswell, I used that and the dino for my first flatplanes, I will still put it up for you but this is not my best work. Please let me know what you think either way.

Edit: P.S. I find it interesting that it is usually flatplanes that are the hardest to find info on. Ferrari, Louts, Lambo, The new Ford. When companies actually produce well built flatplane V8s they keep most of the knowledge to themselves it seems.

Re: List of my engine copies by manufacturer

Have a 2JZ-FSE (the one nobody really cared about) to add to your long list of Toyota engines.

Power and torque come on at the right RPMs in the right quantities. I did have to put some quality into the top end and fuel system, but I imagine Toyota would be best represented by huge top end and fuel system tech pools anyway.

Thanks Sayonara and the quality sliders can be like cheat codes... just get you there easier. At least thats my opinion. When I started I used them a lot more then I do now though.

I had a hard time finding the Lamborghini V8s engines specs for my replicas, I'll have to re-tune them when the steam update comes out. Does the Jalpa/Lamb0 V8s have flatplanes? I try to get everything down to the timing and exhaust size, and then tune from there, which I had succses with Lambo V8s with lots of research. Thanks for the 458!

I didn't realize I spelled jalpa japala haha and no it isn't until this post I thought it was, my replica is. But I didn't want to look stupid and say yes as I was not sure, So I just pulled up a video of one and it sound like a small block Chevy... sad... ill have to rebuild it now. looks like I'm not a lambo expert at all, wrong spelling, wrong internals. I do know however its a 3.5L version of the 3.0 in the Silhouette.

and I hope that the 458 was to your liking, You're certainly welcome for it. I'd be interested in your lambo replicas if they are not already out there on the forum. Which ones have you built?

P.S. sorry if I made you feel excited that the jalpa might be flatplane. I just didn't go all out with the research on that one I suppose.

Re: List of my engine copies by manufacturer

This is the link to my Lamborghini engines if I take it of my signature. viewtopic.php?f=34&t=3964 As you can see I did that a while ago(almost a year). So the engines are not going to be the quality I can do now. Fell free to try them out!

i got a test track called slope and it was a slope that increased in slope until about 30-45 degrees, i threw it in an off roader and it did the track no problem, sounded a bit wierd but its due to a big with cars going up too steep a slope allowing an engine to rev past redline but doesnt allow speed increase
