I4T for the new '10 small supercar shell

Hey guys,

I decided to share the 2.0L i4T I made for the new mid engined shell.
It works in the transverse position (which gives most space apparently), both RWD and AWD (Double wishbone). You can easily get more power by running more boost than this, but increasing the lag, which seemed to slow down the 0-100 time by quite a bit. And as it is now it has a tameness penalty of -7.3%, which isn't too shabby for a 1.2 bar setup.
Also, the boost picking up at 4000 and bypass valves opening at the same rev just seemed right



It probably can be improved, and I might update it if so.
Feel free to use it as a quick engine fix for the shell.
Also feedback is welcome.

I put my BRC RALLY 650hp 1.8L TT V8 in it... goes alright 18 second standing kilometre in its maiden run

Hmm, yeah, V8TT's can work, but tell me more about the economy you're getting out of that My BRC engine only had like 5%. 650 hp surprises me though, mine only had nearly 500hp left with the update. I'll fiddle with it a little and see if I can fix it up...and get reasonable economy

I didn't even notice that the update had changed all the old engines, seems kinda obvious it would now . The old nugget BRC engine still wound out 580hp.

I made a more realistic Toyota MR2 Concept car using a 2.1L long stroke straight 6 in transverse. about 220hp in a 1000kg car returning 5L/100km, low 13 second 1/4 mile and 1.2g lateral grip i'd say it was a worthy representation.

You cut your engine off way to soon, its maxing its horse at the theoretical red-line, you want a nice little hump over, and you'll find yourself able to keep the gears in " boost ", The only gears that I have issues getting to work well sometimes are second and first... But just keep that in mind you might notice a decent improvement.

The power output is nice and it looks like fun past 4000rpm, but i would try to lower the output to about 90-110hp per liter engine displacement, add smaller turbochargers and go for a wider torque band, like 2500- 5000rpm. This way you will achieve far better fuel economy and drivability, while still having a powerful engine.
