AMC Powerplants: Engines of the Aurora Motor Company

One characteristic I want to put in my engines is a distinct 'VTEC just kicked in yo' effect. I know it hurts tameness, but it will mean a predictable engine with a broad, wide torque curve, then after the cam shift, it becomes a high performance engine.

Although I'm not sure how to stratify my engines - the next engine down would be an inline 6, but the turbo version of that one produces more power than the NA V8 - which means it would cannabilise sales of the V8.

Call the turbo i6 a "limited edition" model or some nonsense. Or just change the size of either the V8 or i6.
