Semi-silent engine?

I was messing around to create a powerful engine with extreme acceleration when I managed to create this thing.
Testing it in the engine builder itself gives plenty of (mostly turbo-related) noise, but in a car it is nearly silent most of the time.
Does anyone have an explanation for that?

Note: I have included a platform which generates enough cooling power to test it out with ;)

The sound in the track simulation is not very accurate, and (I think) will be improved in the next update. Rest assured, that engine will be very loud.

Re: Semi-silent engine?

So it's a audio-bug then... Sounds reasonable :P
Now back to super acceleration :D
Any tips?

Re: Semi-silent engine?

Well, the basics are:

AWD

Big Semi-Slicks

Lightness

Gearing

And of course...
POWEEEER!!

Besides that, it's up to you. I have gotten down to 2.1 or 2.2 sec.
