For you Holden (GM from Australia).....I mean Nissan... fans out there:
RB30DET as installed in the VL Calais turbo (VL Commodore with comfy seats and pop-up head lights)
85mm bore
86mm stroke
inline 6
Bosch Jetronic EFI
Garrett T4 or some such puffer
Figures I found say 290NM @ 3200, 150KW @ 5600. Although it was fitted with EFI in 1986, Automation doesn't have it until '88, so you'll have to forgive the anachronism.
Had to fit a "performance" intake to get anywhere near the figures. Made the assumption that being Japanese Tech, it'd be an 18V head....
I'm a Ford man myself, but I figured this would be an easy first job.

Updated for Build 151204

so far i have done the M/S60 series of engines. From the smallest M60B30 to the S62B50 and even the Ascari version of this engine. only issue with the Ascari is it is a dry sump engine.
will post screen shots as soon as i can.
i have also done the full M10 series of 4 cyls but am having issues getting the numbers right on the M10 (M31) from the 2002 Turbo.

Ever tried the M12/13?

That would be the pinnacle of turbo engine technology. If ya wanna give it a try, here are the specs of the basic M10 - M115 engine: http://www.enginerebuilding.eu/bmw/bmw- ... 499cc.html

Noob here :)

These are the engines that I've somewhat successfully replicate so far
SR20DET - Silvia S15 (Don't know the standard boost rate)
4A-GE 20V (Black Top) - Corolla AE111 (Wanted to do 11k RPM but Valve won't stay green)
RB28DET - Skyline R33 (Originally limited to 295 hp and 261 lb.ft of torque, so this is kinda the spinal tap version)
C32B - NSX-R GT (Not too bad, but the so far, darn thing won't fit to any of the mid-ship shell)

If anyone knows the correct turbo specs for the SR and RB please let me know :) I decided not to bother with economy, reliability and emission because they never match the real ones. The numbers are quite similar though, but with my limited skill and knowledge, I can't make them identical.

I Made it in the year 2008, because that's around the time the Corvette Zr1 was released. It's an Iron Block, with aluminum Push Rod. I used the Crate engine for reference.
The Compression ratio is the same, the bore and capaticy are exactly the same, and something i'm quite pleased with, i managed to get the fuel octane level to 88, where the site says 87 is the recommended fuel octane. There was no fuel system for reference, because i Looked at the crate engine, so I just threw one on. It's the slightest bit under powered, but just pretend you got it used, or the climate is different or something. :P

Lotus 900 Series - 1972 to 1996

First fitted to the 1972 Jensen-Healey (907) as a 2 litre normally aspirated 16v DOHC. Expanded to 2.2 litres and gained a turbocharger in 1980 (910) and used in the Lotus Esprit until 1996. Regarded as first modern 16v production engine.

This is my attempt at a recreation. :)

Anyone know of any good sites to help with engine recreation? Ones with accurate, detailed data?

http://www.automobile-catalog.com and common-or-garden Wikipaedia are good starting points. http://www.ford-wiki.com/wiki/Category:Ford_engines also useful and has links to similar sites for other marques.

Don't mind the artifacting, just have the settings set to the lowest for engine creation.
Also I know 280 is spec, but 300ft/lbs is easy to achieve with this engine and this is the closest I could get to HP and keeping tq @3k.
Turbo specs taken from Corksport turbo upgrade white sheet comparison.

If you are talking about the artifacting, it's from using the lowest possible settings on a laptop.

i use the lowest settings on a laptop and that doesn't happen for me, you should post it in the support forum, that's a bit of a problem
