Re: First Engine to reach 61% Economy

I have beaten you, gt1cooper, by just 0.03%. I also took the liberty of building somewhat of a concept car - you know, the one companies do just to remind themselves of the possibilities - and the numbers are quite impressive. I saved every ounce of weight possible to keep the car down to a mere 2,364.2 lbs (or 1,072.84 kgs) and achieved 88.6 MPG with a 7-speed rated for 93 MPH.

Do remember I did that in a different version :P I will try to improve it in a bit if I can.

Thanks! The man hours were insanely high for the fun of it. 88.6 MPG from an 8.1L is impressive by my standards. :D

Dang it, Cooper, you're supposed to not win. :P I'll give it a go sometime soon, but for now I'm working on getting a website for my new car company and such. Good job, man! :)

Re: First Engine to reach 63.19% Economy

I have spent some time in the R&D lab and discovered that an engine of 63.19% is, in fact, achievable. Bring it, Cooper. :P

I know, I'lll unblock it. Got a little too competitive at the time... ;)

EDIT: Forget unblocking it, I broke it anyways. New and possibly the final score: 63.69% (see first post).

What does it run on? Oxygen? ;) Joke aside, that's definitely a bug. That level of efficiency is literally not even possible in a real engine.
