Possibly the highest fuel efficiency possible in Automation, I have gotten a 7.5L Inline-6 to achieve 63.69% fuel-efficiency.

5/21/2015 Update: Decided to see if I could get the same or better in the new version. Went with a smaller engine, now 6.7L, and got a little more efficiency.

Hate to break it to you, but I've seen someone get about 34% I beleive. 30% is still pretty amazingly good mind you.

Just broke it again, new is now 34.31%

Excuse me but, what does the percentage mean ? I understand the g/kW, but I'm wondering about why does it go to 100 if it's unobtainable ?
By the way, what does the "Service Costs" exactly mean ? Is it the average amount spend each year in the engine maintenance ?
The MTBF is about kilometers before any problem or major failure ? Is a 40000-50000 range good enough ?

100% would mean that you're using every bit of energy in the fuel you're using, which is impossible as lots of it is always wasted in heat/friction etc. So it's a measure of how much of the available energy in the fuel you're using.

Service costs is exactly that yeah.

MTBF is distance before any kind of problem on average.

Hard to know, it sounds pretty good but until you put it in a car it's hard to tell what the actual economy will be like.

Thanks for the precisions. While MTBF with 40000 km sounds good, I'm sometimes having more than 1000$ in service costs. That was a little strange to me as an average car shouldn't have that many parts to change in a year. With cabin and air filters a year and maybe some other parts, it shouldn't cost much. Does it take in count the entire lifetime, including engine swaps in case of failure ?

Nah, it's just not super accurate yet, it'll be entirely rebalanced once we have to calculate it for the entire car.

Ive always thought the yearly cost are a bit insane, esspiccaly going from standerd to performence air filter.

Well in this case I'm not quite surprised, as the engine takes more dust and all, it's believable that sh*t happens more often.
