More like an engine loosely based on the v8-60 flathead

I would REALLY like to see what sort of magic and tricks you need to get a sidevalve engine to rev 9000. :D :D

Sidevalve (SV) NO; is OHV (OverHead Valve).

This is the difference:

Re: Insane revver OHV engine

making a high revver of a SV engine would bea easier than a OHV, since the valvetrain would be simpler and lighter; it would be a pointless endeavour though.

Re: Insane revver OHV engine

The combustion chamber on a SV engine is so TOTALLY wrong for high rpm capability, thats why i said:

9000 RPM is very hard to do if even possible. But i dit make a OHV engine capable of 360 HP at 8900 RPM, so pretty close to 9000 RPM.

A shorter stroke allows engines to reach higher rpm.

You can use the [IMG] tag to insert images into posts. Imgur itself provides a line of BBCode which you can copy into the post to insert an image.

For example, this is your image using the embed code that imgur gives you. Image

Sorry my friend, but that engine only gets max power at 8200 RPM. My engine at 8900 RPM. And you compare your turbo engine whit an NA engine.
But if its max RPM we are after, beating you is not a problem. My engines displacement is more or less the same as your engine this time. I will let the image speak for them self.

First N/A engine

Turbo LF (LF = long life) engine:

Turbo max power but low life engine:
