Production Update

Apologies for our lack of news over the last few weeks, but rest assured we aren't dead, just very busy!

We've been hard at work on the Car Body Designer aspect, and have some really quite cool tools for shaping car bodies in the works.

We've also been deciding in a bit more detail what spectrum of parts will be available in the chassis/car designer and their effects on the stats of the car.

Also in the past few days we've started work on the "Engine Manager" screen, where you'll be able to view the statistics of all the engines you produce, how much they cost you to make, how many you have in stock or are producing and what cars they're being used in, as well as have access to create, modify and licence build engines

We'll hopefully have something cool to show you soon from the car designer, so keep your eyes out for that!

Re: Production Update

If there is something I know how do it is be patient on independent game developers/development ;) .

I have been waiting for GPRM (gprm.co.uk) to come out for about 6 years now. You can't tell by their front page, but they're still working very hard on getting it finished.

So any news/updates you give are very welcome!

Re: Production Update

We kinda had a breakthrough idea/revelation with dealing with headlights and such. I can't wait to give it a try over the weekend. As far as I know, no game has ever done something like this, and because we use our own tech it should be pretty easy to implement (he says).

I'm not going to give any more clues away, but hopefully people will be amazed by it and ponder how it even works. :)

@Sincalp - yeah, we try and post as much news as we can, although we've been a bit slack with news lately!

Re: Production Update

All sounding good! Going at a good rate now. Just a quick question, we are able to design exteriors but what about interiors? Any ideas on the process?

Re: Production Update

Yeah, won't be much in the way of interiors im afraid - you can choose what parts to use etc. but you won't get to see much of anything in the actual car.

Re: Production Update

Sounds fair enough, so does that mean it will be something along the lines of pick from dashboard a-d, dash clocks/layout a-d, seats style a-d etc etc?
Possibly a small 3d render of each option to pick from, and no doubt conveniently tinted windows so you cant see them in the vehicle :P (well, until the super dooper expansion pack ;) )
