Personally think that VW 1600 looks beautiful.

No, that VW does look quite good, it really doesn't belong in this thread.

Re: Weird, Bad and Ugly Cars.

The problem isn't the culture, but instead it is how deep the pockets of the buyers are. The Brazilian Clio is the 2nd gen Clio, with that silly facelift, designed to make it cheaper. So the Clio is the entry level car here, with the Sandero (sold here as a Renault) slotting right above it.

Re: Weird, Bad and Ugly Cars.

Yes, our Peugeot 207 was nothing more than a facelifted 206, instead of the brand new european car. Hyundai doesn't sell the i20, they sell a simplified version called the HB20. We didn't get the 5th gen Polo, but to fill that gap, they facelifted the Fox.
The list could go on forever. I hate so much the cars sold here, all are made to the lowest bidder, without any flair or anything interesting.

Ah, the VW 1600 is really weird. The station and the fastback reached more success here.

Leonardo, the brazilian 207 was sold in Europe as " 206 Plus", for a while.

And the HB20 is ahead of the actual I20, because have the new platform that will be used now, for the new I20.

Re: Weird, Bad and Ugly Cars.

I know, I am Brazilian as well. But no, the HB20 uses the same platform as the i20, with the suspension, interior and overall stiffness simplified and made cheaper.

The BRDM VW 1600 looks good today, but in the end of 60's it was the ugliest car produced in Brazil. Even placed him the nickname of Coffin Joe, because of a movie character.

i seriously have no idea where they got the inspiration to make it look like the front and back belong in two different cars. I mean look at the window shape
