1998 V5 STI Type R

Picked up my new weekend toy about 6 months ago,

1998 subaru impreza wrx sti Version 5 Type R, anyone got a car with a longer name? hahaha

was fairly standard when i gpot it bar set of 330mm AP 4 pot callipers on the front

Now running a gt spec gen 2 exhaust manifold, full decat, walborugh 300 fuel pump and syvecs ECU. Bad news is went in for new turbo and was diagnosed with crank rattle before they even started :(

Its currently awaiting new engine,

decided to go fully forged 2.5, should be good to push just over 450bhp and near 500ftlb once its got the right supporting mods and gearbox that wont break lol

To be fair, "Version 5" isn't official nomenclature. Longest car name ever is probably held by the Spec.C RA-Rs.

You'll probably want one of the 6MT STI gearboxes; once you have the DCCD there's no going back.
