I'm just making sure that you know that if you start comparing rarity based on options, cars can get very rare, very fast.

^ My car was a 'one of' then, with aftermarket purple interior, pink exterior, stick on racing stripes, 350/350 swap, mickey street slicks, custom dual exhaust etc

Oh and it had "chipmunk air freshoners" all over the carpet :-p

Dunno if it counts,
but my dad's Chevrolet Corvette 2011, tuned to 480 hp according to the dyno chart of the previous owner.
The exact mods are not know, but the mechanic is sure that it has a full custom exshaust and headers, and that it is chipped..

Long story short, is fast as f*ck! And the noise... It sounds like the apocalypse!
It looks like this, only with dutch license plates.

[sarcasm] I have the rarest car of them all, a 2007 Honda Accord in silver, which is apparently used on about 50% of all cars in America. [/sarcasm]

The rarest car I have ever owned and still do is a 1983 Mustang GT Turbo.

this is a one of 3500 ever built in late 82, it was what ford did to see if the SVO would be a successful endeavour and to their surprise the GT Turbo sold out like hot cakes! Sadly back in 2009 I got ahold of some good yet scary figures showing that over half of these cars have been totalled and even fewer left in factory form ( which mine is other then a aftermarket gauge pod ) . this means I have a one in about 1200 car.

for a motor it shares the same 2.3L turbo motor as the SVO but with a few differences like the GT Turbo did not come with the intercooler, or blow off valve. It also had a smaller diameter maf sensor, different ecu tune and no variable fuel map switch. I did however get a few goodies that the SVO did not come standard with ( to my knowledge ) I aparently have a larger rear end and it is a LSD, I have the same trans found in the 5.0L GT so I have a stronger trans, I do not have the ugly headlights that killed sales for the svo, I had a different hood scoop and rear spoiler, and my personal favourite I got glass T-tops.

this is a car I will never get rid of and have full intentions of restoring and giving to my kid if I ever decide to have any lol

A pic supraman?

What is the rarity based of? For you country or worldwide?

M6 Coupe is one in 9,087 worldwide (according to wikipedia), and 1 in 1,320 produced (ECE-spec M6 coupe, RHD) (according to bmw registry). And that is not splitting it by gearbox type or colour. That is for a production period of 5 years

My ex e46 330i was also a rare car due to it's colour, it was called "scarab green" and was an individual package from factory. As far as I know not all countries have individual options due to the laws.

The e53 4.6is is also a rare car as "apparently" there were only 4000 made worldwide, considering what the engine rebuild cost me this better be true. However, there weren't specially numbered as the M3 CSL's where.

the rarity is world wide,

on the computer that I am on currently I do not have any photos of the car, I can try and take some in a few days but its covered in snow at the moment hahaha

the body condition is typical rusty ford though lol so at the moment the only thing actually worth anything on it is the motor haha

It's a bit of a cop out, but technically my humble old BA Falcon has a very rare combination of options when it was built and was one of the first off the production line. There were ~40-50 BA XT Falcons with the 5.4L 3valve V8 option, at the time people realized the huge cost of optioning the v8 in a base model car meant that a "sport" model XR8 was better value. Add to that mine is painted in "acid rush" paint and is the only XT V8 made in 2002 (it also has one of the first ever Ford Modular "triton" 5.4litre 3valve V8's ever produced, the US got this engine in 2004 I believe).

Like I said, a huge stretch to call a taxi with a v8 and bright paint job rare haha. But if I ever had to replace it I'd be waiting awhile to find something with similar options.

Here are mine, including videos of how each sounds.

I have a 1-of-3001 1983 Hurst/Oldsmobile with a 307, a gnarly exhaust note, and 33,000 original miles. To top it off, it has gray interior and no t-tops, and I have only seen ONE other in this combination in my life.

I had a 2004 Ford Mustang (V6) in Competition Orange, one of 6,429 made of all models (V6 LX, GT, Cobra, Mach 1) that year.

I currently drive/summer DD a 1990 VW Jetta Coupe. Not too rare, but definitely not something you see often. Most people don't notice it's a two door until I say something. It also has a VR6 in it. ;-)

When I got it:

I know it isn't me, but my parents have recently had a tendency to buy rare cars. And they are not rare because they are good, it is because nobody buys them. The forgotten Peugeots.

The "could-I-look-like-the-owner-has-lost-all-interest-in-driving" Peugeot 807
Image

The "body-of-an-Outlander-with-a-poorly-matched-face" (this shows up really clearly in silver) Peugeot 4007
Image

Yeah, they are shit.

Around 190,000 Peugeot 807s were sold. If we were to get as precise as some people though, it is one of the 1,500 (est.) sold in the UK in 2003.

Around 49,000 Peugeot 4007s were sold. Yet again, if getting specific, it is one of the 300-400 (est.) sold in Spain in 2009.

Well... First of all, comes my grandpa's (does it count?) Hyundai Tucson in Pearl White with gold accents. As far as i know, only 17 or 18 were made in this color scheme (worldwide).

Image

(I really don't know why it's turned upside down :?: )

And my actual car, a Toyota Corolla Altis 2010/2011. The production cycle of this version lasted for about 4 months, so there shouldn't be many of these around...
