What is the rarest car you ever owned?

Since many folks here have owned a number of automobiles I am wondering what the rarest car you owned was. Mine is only half rare. In 1959 Buick built 285,089 cars, but my Lesabre 2 door sedan with the manual transmission is 1 of approximately 3,420 1959s with the manual transmission. Taking the average survival rate of a car of this size, and age of aprox 30% means it was 1 of aprox 1,140 still in existence.

Unless you count a base model Hyundai Tucson as a rare var, I've never owned a "rare" car.
Drop us a picture of the Buick!

Pics of my manual shift 59 Buick. I owned it from 2007 to mid 2008. It was my daily driver. God I miss it

My 1988 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe was one of about 37,000 made.
My 1988 Volvo 740 Turbo wagon was one of about 60,000 made.
My 1994 Ford Taurus SHO 5-speed was one of about 2,497 made (1 of 250 if you count the color combination)
Both 1997 Lincoln Mark VIIIs are one of 16,805 made.

So on that basis, my old 1994 Ford Taurus SHO, in Moonlight Blue Metallic, with a 5-speed manual was the rarest car I've ever owned. And I want it back (or one just like it). :P

Peugeot 405 T16, 1061 examples produced, and that's without only counting a specific year, colour or option combination like people with American cars tend too :P

Great car too

Nothing quite as rare as oppositelock's.

My two rarest cars would have been:

1978 Subaru BRAT
1973 AMC Hornet hatchback (w/factory 304 V8)

My car wasn't very rare, but it may have been a 'one-of-a-kind' if you count the mods :-p my 1986 Camaro was a 2.8l v6 from the factory, had a a 4 barrel carb mild 350 with 3 speed auto swapped in, purple interior (aftermarket) and pink paint with black (gran torino) style racing stripes, mickey Thompson street slicks in the back (275 wide) 235 wide mickey street tires up front, cragar mag rims and a dual straight pipe exhaust.

P.S. it had T-tops

I think that my Mercedes S600 LWB is one of about 100-200 for its year. That probably is a bit rarer than my Mitsubishi 3000GT SL, but I could be wrong. After all, who would want to buy such a shitty car :P .

Find me another Silver 2006 Honda City ZX (basically a Honda Fit/Jazz with a boot) I-DSI 1.5 no EGR engine, CVT Gearbox, and Full Leather Interior. Then we're talking. There cannot be more than a 100 of this exact spec worldwide. (I bet it'll be worth something in a hundred or so years).

That's being a bit narrow, Conan. I am sure that I own the only 1994 S600 LWB in black with orthopedic seats, walnut trim, with VIN number 9023496xxxxxxxxxx, and the optional rims.

When you have to bring up the VIN number to show uniqueness, it shows that you've gone too far. ;) If the VIN isn't unique, then you've got some serious problem going on there.
