Worst I've ever got in my Mustang was an indicated 7 MPG during a particularly brutal run to Taco Bell during my lunch break (nothing but WOT stoplight-to-stoplight).

Generally I get around 18-20 MPG during normal city driving, and if I drive like a retiree and skip shift from 1-4, I can usually squeeze 22-25 MPG, depending to stoplights/traffic.

Yeah, it's pretty awful, but since the dutch government banned people driving classic cars in (i think) November, December, January and February, it's not my business anymore! (for a few months....)

Well, here's a download!
It's a recreation of my car, but it has an i6 instead of an V6, it weighs 200 KG less, about the same engine specs (same bore/stroke, about the same torque and power) and yeah, try it ;)

I think about buying a Citroën CX 25 GTi Turbo 2 (that name though ) or a Citroën XM Berline V6!

I see a CX 25 GTi Turbo 2 regularly at the local annual car meet, it's actually a British car meet but thankfully a few other cars show up. Awesome car if you like ridiculous, large French cars that tries to be sporty but is in no-way actually sporty.

True, CX's lean as hell, but they have lots of grip, and yes: the are really weird.
The one i'm interested in has an aftermarket intercooler and is chiptuned, so it makes a nice 220 HP, rather than 168 HP 8-)

Banned perfectly well running machines. I do not mean to sound like a redneck, but if the government tried to stop me from driving my car I spent 10 years restoring. There would be hell to pay.

Please buy the CX. Please. XM is great, especially if you're looking at the earlier 24v, but the CX just has that extra something.

I think it will be the CX :), I like the XM a lot, but the CX is in my opinion the last real Citroën!

UPDATE:

I've bought a car, and it is not a Citroën, but a Talbot!
It's a 1984 Talbot Samba Cabriolet 1.3 (it's actually a 1.4, but nevermind that...), and it is quite a rare car too: something over 13.000 were produced.
I like it :D

Fantastic! I love it. There are hardly any Sambas left over here now, that looks an excellent one. How are you finding it so far?

A Talbot that haven't been scraped a long time ago due to rust, yea that is actually kind of rare.

I really like it! The weather here is a bit crap, so I haven't opened the roof yet.... but it's quite quick! The engine has about ~80 Hp and the car weighs nothing, so yeah.... I love it! :D
