I'm 16 currently and this is my first car.

Image

She's a 1967 Ford Fairlane 500 sedan, made in the Wichita plant in October 1967 according to her VIN number. Only 86000 miles on it, all factory stock. Stock 289 ford windsor, with an autolite 2 bbl carb. C4 "cruise-o-matic" 3 speed auto. She had the original air filter, but it was jam packed with crap so we replaced it. We're in the process of putting a new flowmaster exhaust on it. The current is stock, but after 50 years on the west coast of Canada, its in horrible shape. She has a good body, the frame is rust free.

She belonged to an elderly couple who never drove it , Just kept it in their garage and maintained it. The guy I bought it off of got it in an estate sale 10 years ago. He's kept her in good shape for the last decade, only took it out on a big rode trip once with it.

Wow, that's a cool first car. The color is very classy. I'd level out the ride height and slap on a nice wheel and tire combo to make it a sweet Friday night cruiser. ;)

We're going to rebuild the suspension, as soon as I get my next paycheck ;)

...That has to be one of the best "first" cars a 16 year old can own. I wish we had beauties like that in the UK. Enjoy.
