'01 Eclipse GS-T

This is my side project that I work on during my free time. I'm currently a student so it's difficult to find money, time or space to work on it, but over the summer I was able to finish a turbo swap from a turbocharged 420a 2G. It ain't perfect, it ain't a racecar, hell it isn't breaking 300whp yet, but it's different. :P

T04e turbo, 57-trim, T3-flanged, journal-bearing
450cc DSM injectors w/resistor pack
Walbro 255lph fuel pump
2.25-2.5" used intercooler piping
28" bar and plate eBay intercooler
3" custom downpipe
GReddy Type-S BOV (using a knockoff Type-RS while I rethread the Type-S)
2.5" straight-pipe exhaust
TiAL 38mm wastegate w/7psi spring (upgrading over the winter to 12psi)
Eagle Talon ramhorn turbo manifold
ECUflash used for tuning/EvoScan used for datalogging
Handful of external mods: VIS V-line wing (i.e. the 'Evo style' wing), LED tails, halo projector headlights, a few tinted bits, cheesy 'GS-T' badge, some plastidip here and there..

Still stock ride height and stock wheels unfortunately, picking up Tein basics/drilled+slotted rotors w/Rotora front calipers and rear disc conversion within the month from a friend who blew the trans on his GT. Sometime over the winter I'm eyeing another Club3G member's 18" Konigs w/245's that he has for sale. :)

If you're confused about my username.. I started off on a 2G Talon TSi and quite frankly I prefer the 4G64 to the 4G63. :P

Also have some future plans for it. DOHC swap should be coming sometime next summer, I've obtained the head but no internals, manifold, or belt yet, and it hasn't been to the machine shop yet, Niteshift Performance here in New Jersey will be doing the installation. Trans cooler, 2.5" intercooler piping throughout, 264 Blox cams coming with the head swap. Going to look into meth/water injection with the head swap and turning up the boost. Goal by this time next year is about 400-450whp @ 20-24psi.

Edit: Oh and for those familiar with the recent events of hurricane Sandy.. 700 homes in my town were destroyed, hundreds of cars lost, but I got lucky and my car was one of three on my block to NOT have been washed away (or damaged at all for that matter). :D

Re: '01 Eclipse GS-T

Figured I'd update since everyone's lookin and nobody's postin. :P

Picked up an old VIS carbon fiber hood, vented 'Evo' style. Also picked up an '03 bumper, no pics yet but it's gonna go on in the summer, along with the DOHC head swap. Speaking of which, Evo 8 head came in too!

Thanks, but I took the head from a Sirius II 4G63 from an Evo 8. The turbo is a generic t04e but it actually did come from a 2G.. A 420a turbo, surprisingly. :P

Re: '01 Eclipse GS-T

Some updates:

Recently got in my wideband, boost and trans temp gauges. These were all 100% necessary to bring out the full potential; especially considering how accurate a tune I can achieve now. The transmission is my weak point, so I needed the temp gauge to keep an eye on it for damage:

I'm currently finishing up my 2.5" intercooler piping.. Just too goddamn cold outside today or it would be done already:
Image

12psi spring is in, still have yet to enjoy the full advantages of it considering I sprung a leak somewhere almost right away:
Image

A few friends and I lined up following a recent meet:

Did some wire cutting to the rear end:

Deal on the Konigs fell through so I picked up some TSW's for $100 on Craigslist. My budget is about $300, these need a little work, a pair of adapters and one tire so I should just about break even:

Wrapped downpipe. It's true, it IS a pain in the ass:
Image

Gave up on the old Type-S, bought an eBay knockoff for cheap. Luckily I pressure-tested it before putting it on otherwise I would've ended up with a massive leak:

Looks wicked! Have you visited a DYNO yet to get a power rating on that bad boy?
