Side note: The room temperature goes up to 29 degrees in January when this PC is on. Another side note: Winter is cold as f**k in Germany.

I run automation full blast at 1080p. Granted, it does heat up my liquid cooling temperature like most cutting edge games would, but it looks soo purdy. :)

I've also run Automation on my Alienware M11x R3. Don't need it anymore, if anyone wants to buy the sweetest netbook ever made, PM me. ;)

Re: Computer specs

My lappy is my main computer and here are it's specs

HP Pavilion touchsmart
Intel core i5 @ 1.8 - 2.3 Ghz (with turbo, sandy bridge).

6 GB Ram

700 GB WD Black scorpion 7200 RPM

Nvidia Geforce 630M GT, 2 GB of RAM dedicated.

Win 8 64 bit edition. (automation runs very smooth on win 8.) the metro start button was a pain in the a** actually all of win 8 was a PITA. when I got used to it, it is quite easy and quite efficient when used properly. for example I want to run a program, hit start button on keyboard and type first letter of program and it shows up; then hit enter.

Re: Computer specs

Built mine last June for about $600 not including monitor/keyboard/speakers(was switching from an old laptop)
ASUS m5a97 motherboard
AMD FX-4100(4core overclocked at 4.3 GHz)
EVGA GeForce GTX 550 Ti (1 GB)
8 GB RAM( G.SKILL Ripjaws DDR3)
Seasonic 520W power supply
Seagate 1 TB HDD(7200 RPM)
Windows 7 home premium 64 bit
a couple blue LED fans
NZXT m59 case

My laptop wasn't good enough to run automation :D 1 year later, haven't had a single problem with this computer. Not 1 crash, not 1 blue screen, nada.

Re: Computer specs

Currently running:
AMD APU A6-3620 2.2GHz
AMD Radeon HD6530D
4GB of RAM
2x Seagate 500GB HDD at 7,200 RPM
running Windows 7 64bit Home Premium
Not sure of the PSU and Motherboard, bought it from Acer. Only problem is I have no room to upgrade because the MB is a FM1 socket.

Plan to replace/upgrade it with this:
Hard disk drives and CD drive I already have
Foxconn A78AX ATX AM3 motherboard
AMD Phenom II X4 970 Black Edition at 3.5 GHz
AMD Radeon HD 6570 2GB GPU
Corsair Builder Series CX430 with 430 watts
and an additional 4GB of ram from G.SKill
------------
I'll be using Windows 8 Pro when I figure out how to go back to it, I had to do a factory setup thing and lost it. I got it through a $15 upgrade program by buying my computer during a certain time period.

Re: Computer specs

Coming up to a couple of years old now and still going strong:

Gigabyte H67MA-USB3-B3
Intel Core i5 2500K (I know, a K on an H67 - the K was cheaper than the standard 2500 at the time.)
8GB DDR3 1333MHz Kingston ValueRAM
2TB Western Digital Green
Sapphire AMD 6870
Leadtek Nvidia GT 640 (Again, weird setup. I needed the Nvidia card for work.)
LG Blu-Ray Burner
Corsair CX600 PSU
Coolermaster Elite 342 Case

Running Windows 7, Windows 8, Ubuntu 13.04 and OSX Mountain Lion, with 7 being the main use.

Re: Computer specs

Here is my lappy's setup, it is barely good enough to run Automation at medium settings.
CPU: Intel Core i7 2640QM 2.0-2.9 Ghz (The main cause of crazy overheat)
GPU: Nvidia GT540M 2GB (yes, 2 GB on such a slow gpu :P)
RAM: Unknown 8 GB DDR3 (overkill)
HDD: Unknown 750 GB
Motherboard: Unknown
Cooling system: 3 brutally clogged up fans, a broken cooling pad and a ventilator (i'm serious)

I bought it in september 2012 for $800, but i want to dump it already, because it idles at 50 degrees and under heavy load it can reach a mad 100 degrees
