Re: Automation GTA Crew

Pleb + his friend, Pyrlix, and I has quite a lot of fun yesterday doing some heists, races, and survivals. We had contact throughout the races but it was funny just because we were chatting on skype.

Would be interesting to see more people on, we could all do some survivals or something of the sort.

sorry T16

I'll be on today for a while if anyone wants to do anything, we are also planning to do another heist tonight, and we need one more person I think. :)

Re: Automation GTA Crew

I'all try to wake up at less ridiculous hours this weekend so I can play with you.

As for racing, I have gotten fairly decent at it and if I had tips to give:

Learn the best cars for each class, there are a few lists out there, just make sure its not too old. In the off road class for example, the Sanchez is by far the best.

Stay away from very fast tracks with super cars, like the airport tracks, those are just ram fests. On tighter tracks it is usually possible to win using skill.

For motorbike races, use the wheelee speed boost. I have been called a hacker a few times in stock off-road/bike/utility races. Nothing can beat a wheeleeing faggio in stock utility races.

The only problem with the Sanchez is that if the race isn't a point to point or one lap race, there's usually at least one idiot with a monster truck going the wrong way and trying to drive into anyone with a bike. :(

The super car obsession is weird. Many people seem to think that if a car isn't a super car, it's a shit car. Those same people also don't seem to understand that you need to brake in a corner. I've had a few more wins now, mostly because I've gotten lucky and had a lot of those "POWEEEERRRRR!!!" drivers as opponents.

edit:
I'd like to use voice chat or skype while doing the heists with you guys but I get anxious easily when I have to speak with people I don't really know, especially with my rally driver english. But the voice chat or skype seems almost necessary, as the text chat seems to be kinda broken. It seems to sometimes take key presses as control inputs while I'm typing so I might accidentally jump out of a vehicle if I type something with the letter F in it :/

Re: Automation GTA Crew

If anyone has the retail version like me and is just finding it impossible to download the 5GB day 1 patch then some kind soul has uploaded it here, along with a bunch of other patches: http://gtaforums.com/topic/784070-5gb-p ... al/page-26

For 6 hours I was trying to download the patch using the hateful social club downloader. My internet connection is not very fast, usually topping out at 750KB/s on steam, but on the social club downloader it was topping out at 80KB/s and disconnecting at least once every minute, sometimes more. It physically could not get further than 20MB before disconnecting, which would then reset its progress to about 2MB downloaded. About 5 minutes into the download on the link I posted and I am already 500MB in
