Re: Automation Community Racing

For now our usual times are nighttime, but nothing's stopping you from organizing something if you can get enough people on!

Found something interesting, VRC Pro F2P already has loads of cars if you click on the manufacturer tabs, so we can also run some races there if people are interested in RC cars. VRC Pro is a Free to Play game but you don't unlock anything new, you'll have to buy new upgrade parts with real money. Very realistic though and the free version comes with many cars to choose from already.

I'm often around in the evenings (depending on my roster), my timezone is UTC +10. I often won't be able to join the Europeans so I might indeed be up for this.

Re: Automation Community Racing

So the next Race-events will be on the 10.04.2015 - it will be one with a more Endurance focused race this time. And of course - it will be an LFS Event.
@UMGaming: I tried to set the races in a time theoretically everyone can join. I know that 9:30 is a bit early though.

The racing Plan!

21:30CET: Meeting in TS3/Livechat/LFS Server and Training on Blackwood with every car you have
21:45CET Begin of the Race-Event

Race-Events:
Blackwood 7Lap FBM ~ 15m Race
Blackwood 5Lap GTI-Class ~ 15m Race
Blackwood 15m Qualify and 30 Lap FBM with one mandatory pitstop ~1h 15m of Racing
By that we should've reached 23:45 - after that it will be a free and open track for everyone to drive on.

It may sound bland to just drive on blackwood, but most people only have Demo content - having atleast S1 would increase variety by a lot thanks to reversed tracks and 3 additional ones.

Thats all! Hopefully with a lot more people on the server this time, making it a proper race!
Depending of the amounts of participants the endurance race may or may not be changed to a couple small ones.

Re: Automation Community Racing

Yesterday races where quite casual because of the low turn out so no 30 lap endurance. I hope the turn out is better next time.

The last race that Jakgoe posted the results from was a mixed class race where the FBMs started 2 laps after the GTi class cars.

I also managed, not once but twice to be in the lead of a race with insufficient fuel on board. First time I didn't even notice till the car ran out 2 corners from the finish and the second time I had filled the car for a 10 lap race but it was 15 laps long.. Of course I blame the strong wind ;)

Here are the result of the other races, As last time people that didn't finish might not have their names on the list.

Re: Automation Community Racing

I think I did pretty decently on Saturday, I sat out the three Races that Jakgoe posted to do some fun commentary with pyrlix. When there are more people on, we'll be able to do a 13 person Endurance race where pyrlix will be streaming the race, and I'll be marshalling and doing some commentary along with pyrlix.

Looking forward to more people joining us soon, it'll be fun when we finally have a large group to race with!

Re: Automation Community Racing

Well, in about a month I'll be back on night shift and at that time I'll be awake at your times :P

Racing would actually be fun, to be honest! But I've got that antipodean lag thing going so it might be more wheel banging than clean racing >_<

SLRR isn't multiplayer... and, sadly, STE's campaing failed two weeks ago. So SL series games won't be an option for quite a while...

Sure, same time as usual, 21:30 CET and various demo compatible classes. Hopefully people can pull them self away from GTA. ;)
