Here is what happened:
The launcher was downloading 4Cyl.cab and was at something like 200 MB of 300+ when I lost connection to the internet. The launcher brought up an error window saying something like connection terminated. I then fixed the connection and the launcher went on to downloading the NEXT file (not 4Cyl.cab). After all other files had been downloaded it said my game was up to date. Since this was suspicious I restarted the launcher, but it still said my game was up to date.
Just to be sure I started the game and tried to make a new 4 Cyl engine. It didn't surprise me, that it crashed as soon as I chose a cam setup (lua error: nill value).

The launcher is now convinced that there is nothing to download, though I'm convinced there is.

How could I get it to download 4Cyl.cab again or is there any possibility to do something like that manually?


I'm useing standalone version... ...well nearly 151002 on win7.

If bandwidth is not an issue just uninstall and redownload.

I'd rather avoid too much transfer because I got a max. of 1GB/month and after that it gets expensive...
...but if it's not possible to fix this, then I might not have much choice.

Options->Verify/Repair worked.
I somehow never noticed that button before and didn't bother to look until now...

Good news that you found this new little feature yourself it was just added to the standalone launcher, so you wouldn't have known it from before
