Automation Install Thingy?

It won't install. I don't use Steam for my AM Game because I'm paranoid about cloud server stuff. I'm using a Duel-Core Win 7, and I use Google Chrome. When I go into my Download tab, and click on the install thing it doesn't do anything. Also I've uninstalled and reinstalled like four to five times. I'm sorry for being a nuisance.
I think It thinks I'm using Win XP, since I upgraded and am on the same computer. Maybe I just forgot to turn off the compatibility mode after I uninstalled it. Well, crap.

Re: Automation Install Thingy?

We need some more info here to know what is going on.
So you download the Automation Launcher from our homepage, go to the download folder and start the .exe and nothing happens?

Re: Automation Install Thingy?

It'll be your Antivirus. Just disable it whilst you run the installer.
If you don't have an antivirus... then just do what Killrob says

Re: Automation Install Thingy?

I disabled my antivirus and tried installing again and I got...

"The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you are running."

I use a 64x Win 7 operating system, and it is a genuine copy. The install thingy's name read Launcher_Setup.exe, and I use an AMD Athlon 4400+ at 2.30GHz.

Can you turn off compatibility mode for an uninstalled application?

Re: Automation Install Thingy?

Okay, I tried turning off compatibility mode, and changing the compatibility mode setting, and it gave me the same error. I also tried deleting the install plugin and re-downloading.

Re: Automation Install Thingy?

I think the issue "The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you are running." is coming from running a very outdated version of the Microsoft .net framework. Can you try installing the latest version?
Something like this might do the trick: https://www.microsoft.com/en-nz/downloa ... x?id=30653
(although you may not want to download from NZ :P
