Demo Crashes on Startup

I got the demo and then spent a few hours updating it to the newest build, but then when I ran the demo from the launcher the first time, it gave me an error. The music kept playing, but the window was empty. The error said "External component has thrown an exception."

I'm not sure what to do about this, and Automation looks really fun. I'd love to give it a try, alas, I can't.

Oh, yeah, and when I tried to do the verify thing, it crashed immediately. Well, it stopped responding.

And here are my specs:

Dell Inspiron 1545
Pentium dual-core, 2.1 GHz
Windows 7 64-bit
4GB RAM
Graphics card: Mobile Intel 45 Express Chipset Family
1366x768 screen
Guentherstrass AG: Refinement in Motion. Since 1945.

Re: Demo Crashes on Startup

Unfortunately, your system is really slow and may not be able to run Automation well even if you get it to run. One option would be to try to reduce all settings to minimum: in the options menu of the game launcher turn down the quality slider all the way to the left, select the lowest resolution and have Screen Space Ambient Occlusion as well as FXAA turned off.

Give it a go and see if that runs, if yes, you can slowly step the graphics up from there and see how far you get.
