I recently updated to Win 10 and now I cant play automation. this really blows because I love automation. whenever I try to start it it just makes a really annoying static noise and then the game fails. Anyone else have this problem? and has anyone been able to fix it?

Re: wont work with Windows 10
Currently running Windows 10 Home 64bit on my 2011 built Lenovo Z575 equipped with an AMD Llano APU A6-3400M.
After I performed a clean install of Windows 10, I installed the latest display drivers, and manually updated Direct X.
I am experiencing no issues running automation on Windows 10, so I recommend you check to see that you have an updated install of Direct X on your system post the instillation of Windows 10
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download ... aspx?id=35 Start with that, than check that you have the correct display adapter drivers installed.
Can you give us any other information on your system?
Who makes it, the internal components, so on?
You can go to http://www.cpuid.com/ and download CPU-Z to have it tell you exactly what you have, you can even use the validation tool to give us a link to show us exactly what you have, like this.

Your laptop has a dedicated GT-230M display adaptor, I am willing to bet you need to grab the drivers for it.
IF you have 32-bit: This is the driver you might need. http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/87989
IF you have 64-bit: This is the driver you might need. http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/87987
warning, not all laptops will run properly with non OEM drivers, according to HP, your laptop SHOULD have windows 64bit. I checked the HP website, and they appear to have no desire to release updated OEM drivers for your laptop.
