Steam refuses to download mods from the Workshop

I don't know what I can do to explain the problem but with text, so please tell me if I can use something other than text to describe this problem.

I recently uninstalled and reinstalled Automation twice in an attempt to fix the IX35 grille error and while the problem were indeed fixed, the mods I've subscribed to doesn't show up on the game at all, and checking the game directly doesn't show any folders for mods. Help me, please?

EDIT: Restarting the computer somehow fixes the problem, as my computer restarted for updates and the mods started working again.

I have exactly the same problem. Hopefully someone will be able to help.

Re: Steam refuses to download mods from the Workshop

I recently also had this problem, and somehow, after clean reinstall, restarting my computer somehow fixed the issue.

I have no idea if this will help you at all, but that's what worked for me!

Re: Steam refuses to download mods from the Workshop

Yesterday after I started Steam, the workshop mods started downloading normally. Even new ones I had chosen on a new Steam session started downloading right away. Interestingly on days before that, I wasn't able to get the workshop mods working no matter what I did and now they seem to be just fine.

Re: Steam refuses to download mods from the Workshop

Just noticed this today with some of Felgen's mods The download bar seems to indicate it downloaded something but i cannot find them.

Ok found them and oddly the seem to be in the correct place yet not appearing in game.

Nevermind subfolder structure appears to be incorrect.

Just a tought... maybe the problem is with the steam client and restarting it would fix the problem, and that's why when you restart your PC the problem is gone.

Re: Steam refuses to download mods from the Workshop

I have been having this problem as well, and I have tried every combo of what has been said above. I have restarted the game, I have restarted the game, then logged out of steam, I have reinstalled at least five times, I have even uninstalled steam and reloaded everything, and I have shut down my computer. I still have no luck with at least half of the mods. Some work, most of the car bodies work a lot of the ones that were uploaded early work, but the stuff I want to work does not. I am starting to get extremely frustrated with this. I am sorry for my rant, but I have no idea why this isn't working for me.

Re: Steam refuses to download mods from the Workshop

I've had this problem too, and restarting my Steam client (sometimes the computer too) has fixed the problem.
