I don't expect full settings, but mid setting @ 30fps?

I think yes

Should run quite alright, I'd imagine. The Sandy Bridge IGP is mucho better than anything Intel have previously foisted on the majority of PC users :)

Re: Automation - Minimum Requirements

Well here my "computer":

Intel Celeron CPU 2.40GHZ
3072mb of RAM
Nvidia geforce 6600  (256mb)

I manage to run Spore(full settings),Medieval2 Total war(medium settings) and Crysis demo (medium settings)

Will it make it?

Re: Automation - Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements

Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7
Processor: Dual Core (Intel Core2 DUO E4500 or equivalent)
Ram: 2gb
Graphics Card: NVidia 8600GT/ATI Radeon X1650 (Must support Pixel Shader 3.0)
Internet Access

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gam ... 107-7.html

so the nv 6600gt and the intel HD3000 are at the same level, slightly below the requirements of the game, with a bit of luck we should run, then we're not talking about an action game so it should be playable with just a few fps. But your Celeron has a single core, so I think you will not play.

Most games come with a "minimum" and a "recommended" you perhaps manage to reach the minimum. Also consider the hundreds of hardware combinations people can have there is no way to test them all so most minimums are actualy a bit higher than the actual minimum lol.. if that makes sense

Once the game is downloaded, you can play offline by yourself happily. The one thing we do want to do, is have a library of cars online, that the AI's use to compete against you. This will require Internet connectivity for, but we are not going to make it forced.

So after I've downloaded it, can I transfer it to another computer that doesn't have any kind of internet connection? I'm asking because my proper gaming computer can't be connected to the internet atm and this laptop with a built-in wireless modem isn't exactly the best machine for playing games (meets the recommended requirements though, except for that it has a crappy intel hd graphics card) and I'd like to put the game on a USB hard drive and move it to the better computer.

You need an internet connection to play at all right now, but we're trying to work on a better way for the final game

Re: Automation - Minimum Requirements

Oh well, it does work OK with Intel HD Graphics if you use lowest viewport resolution. (Intel Core i3 2.13Ghz, 3GB DDR3, Windows 7) so never mind on the whole transfering to another machine issue :)

Remember turning ambient occlusion off helps a lot as well.

Re: Automation - Minimum Requirements

After worrying whether my pc could even play the game I went and pre ordered it this morning because I couldn't stand waiting 2 weeks to try it out.

I was really suprised on how my laptop could play it with the graphics at the medium setting.

My pc has the i5 m430 processor (2.27 with boost to 2.7)
3gb DDR3 ram
Intel media accellerator hd (intergrated graphics card.)

It runs brilliantly. To those with similar spec I wouldn't worry at all, my pc has been well used aswell and doesn't even run as fast as it used to and it still runs this game easily, Medium setting is maybe 20fps and low setting is very high fps, never noticed any slowdown in 3hours of playing.

Highes Settings are still experimental? 2Cores of my 3Ghz Quadcore Cpu are at full load even at medium? On Highest settings my AMD 7950 is also @98% Load?

Re: Automation - Minimum Requirements

This is because the game does not have a rev limiter to your CPU & GFX card ;) so it tries to churn out as many fps as possible at the moment... so of course they will be at high load. Running at 500 fps might not be very beneficial of course.
