Conrods are longer than the stroke on pretty much all engines, as it's the dimension of the crank that defines that.

I think he meant art+calcuation wise in-game. The VR & W engines are a unique beast.
The conrods can be carried over, but the rest would have to be redesigned from scratch.

There's several other (generally packaging related) reasons why you'd build a 90° V6, but I will readily concede that they are the exception, not the rule, and therefore not really worth bothering with for now.
