smaller turbos

The current available turbo sizes limits the use of turbocharging for high efficient engines 2.0L and bigger per bank of cylinders. Can we make turbos as small as 0.5"? I tried to make a 1.0l turbo engine with a torque curve as low as my 1.0l engine, but i just can't seem to make it with current size limitations. Making this 2.0l I6 matches my torque curve with exacly 2x as much torque and horsepower.

I didn't find the same topic as this on the search bar.

Re: smaller turbos

Modern turbo option that we add with the forced induction revamp will make it such that you can spool earlier, at that time we could decrease the minimum size a little if necessary, too.

Re: smaller turbos

i don't think there is yet.

since it is still pretty far away. the next update will be either the tycoon part, of the move to unreal engine. (right?)

only after that is the revamp is started.

After the change to Unreal is done and the tycoon part is playable and before new engine layouts are added.
Was that a good guess? :p

Anything that is a lot of work when it comes to engines will have to wait until the Unreal version, yes. I3s are quick to make as they don't have many fuel system options, so we can accept that small amount of double work to have something happening on the engine side of things too.
