Not difficult, but time consuming. We'll probably have that option, yes.

Single-turbo V-engines? Oldsmobile Turbo Jetfire, Bentley Turbo R, Bristol Beaufighter, Pontiac Turbo Trans Am, Renault Alpine GTA & A610. Saab 9-5. Just to name a few.
Oh, and Porsche 911 Turbos had a single turbo until 1993 - not a v-engine ofc, but two cylinder banks anyway. And then we have Subaru too who do the same with their boxer fours.

Re: Forced induction revamp suggestions

The G-Ladder compressor it was discontinued because the exhaust gases contains fuel without burn. Like the RX7 13B engines.

Re: Forced induction revamp suggestions

I just thought of something; is tube header exhaust manifold option planned for turbo engines?
Race cars have those of course, but even some production cars from Lotus and Ferrari for example.
This option would be a possible way of helping turbo spool-up on older designs (at a cost naturally).

Yes, put this please!

And isometric tubular exhaust headers please!

Re: Forced induction revamp suggestions

Does isometric mean equal length? I thought that's what the race tubular headers were.

Re: Forced induction revamp suggestions

Tube headers would be a rational addition seeing as we have racing headers for N/A engines too. IRL a tube header can lower an engine's boost treshold rpm by as much as 15-20% compared to a log manifold.

Re: Forced induction revamp suggestions

I'd forgotten about that!

It doesn't get rid of everything - there's still a difference between different types of headers and intakes - but it changes what the tradeoffs look like substantially.

Soon"ish", I linked the video killrob put up last October about the new engine designer above. Nothing is happening before the unreal engine changeover.
