Precise Engine Placement

Hey all,

While we have the ability to make front, mid and rear engined cars, what I would love to see is the ability to precisely position the engine. For example, be able to push the engine further back to the center of a FR car for better weight distribution and to also have more space in the engine bay :)

Just some food for thought!

Re: Precise Engine Placement

Engine bays are limited by the frame, which has limits that vary by body, but as far as I know they keep themselves centered within that. It would be nice to be able to move engines forward and back within that if there's any room. Not sure how easy or hard that would be to implement.

Re: Precise Engine Placement

IIRC the engine is already as far back as possible in FR configurations.

Re: Precise Engine Placement

So I figure mid and rear engines would also be as far forward as possible?

Re: Precise Engine Placement

And the engines are always super low. I wouldn't want to service those babies. Some mechanocs will get lost on the bottom of those bays.
