Suggestions for Scenario's Life Line & Power da Car

General / Life Line
Shouldn’t torque be a lot more important than HP in a generator? With the lower RPM's that a generator should be running, you should be able to create more electricity in the lower range by having the torque required to use bigger magnets for power generation. At least that's the way it seems to me, I'm having a hard time finding articles to back up my claim.

General / Power da Car
I can’t find any stat for production time, yet production time of less than 300 hours is required. I'm assuming the requirement is for production units, not time, so it may just be a bad translation.

Re: Suggestions for Scenario's Life Line & Power da Car

Power is the only relevant stat in generators, they only ever run at one specific RPM anyway, so you'd want to run it at peak torque (this is close to where the engine is most efficient). That means the most relevant stat would be "power at peak torque", but that is all taken into account by the economy stat to some degree. Overall I think the requirements of both power and economy makes this at least reasonable.

In Power Da Car the production time is indeed "Production Units", the string is a bit off, which is confusing.

Horse power is basically torque times RPM.

745 watts is about 1 horsepower

So even though most generators run at one RPM constantly making the torque at that RPM the important factor.
Horse power to watts is a much easier conversion than to go from ft-lbs or Nm at what RPM to watts.

Yeah, I asked my electrical professor yesterday and learned that HP is actually more important, so forget the first part, lol.
