Here's http://imgur.com/a/LdmYQ my final overview, designed to be a relatively cheap normal engine so no fancy super car setups.

Have a look at the acceleration graph, you probably have plenty of grip reserves so you could use shorter gearing (higher gear spacing number).

Okay, I managed to get it up to 150 topspeed and 0-100 at 15.9 seconds with around 10% wheel-spin, where Is decent for the 50's, and for a relatively heavy car.

"Decent" would depend on a number of other factors. A small inline-six in a 1400kg car would likely be a much slower 0-100 than a large V8 in the same car. A very sporty car should be much quicker than an eco-family car. Weight distribution also comes into play, as well as suspension type, tire compound, etc. Like I said...a number of other factors.

The car is a smaller pick-up that weighs 1300 in 1950 with an Inline 6 that produces 92 HP and is very small compared what I could cram into it and with 145mm wide regular tires, and well the Jaguar XK 150 does 0-100 in about 8 seconds, and that's a sport model from 1959, so about 10 years later.
