VVT with 5 valve heads?

I have noticed that VVT isn't possible in the engine designer with 5 valve heads. Why is this? the Ferrari F355 from 1997 had VVT and it was a 5 valve design. Other than cost and complexity there is no reason why a 5 valve motor cant have VVT and VVL.

I can't see how you could possibly fit the valvetrain stuff for VVL in a 5 valve head.

VVT is only missing because of a bug, and will be available for 5 valve engines soon

I don't think anyone has done a 5 valve motor recently enough to try, unless you count F1 cars. But Fiat's multiair system would be a decent bet. It's a very elegant VVT/VVL system.

Oh agreed, multiair should be able to do it, but our only VVL so far is basically VTEC/Toyota VVTLi

Is fully variable VVT and VVL in the works? Something like BMWs Double Vanos.

It comes with its own problems: for one is too big and can't be fitted with direct injection; Then it has diminishing return as engine size increases. But the throttless intake in neat
