life span

After waiting for nearly a year to play this and hovering over the download button like a vulture I finally got it, I decided I should probably go to bed at around 5 this morning when I lost the ability to keep both eyes open at any one time, but for the life of me I can't get the life span of my engines to anywhere near where there supposed to be, can anyone give some tips to a worn out saggy eyed shell of a human being. thanks.

Re: life span

1. Race intake severely reduces the Lifespan
2. Heavier flywheel will make your engine more reliable
3. lower RPM limit = higher lifespan - especially when you have cheap parts not able to withstand current rpm
4. better bottom end parts have higher torque and rpm treshold. Check if changing to more expensive parts will do.
5. Lower Cam profile - Better lifespan
6. You can try to build parts to higher standard (higher technology year)
7. Make sure your engine is not knocking.
