(posted this in the wrong thread at first...)

  • Engine bay squeeze factor now affects service costs

Awesome! Very elegant way to encourage people to make smaller engines when they can.

Re: Open Beta [B151127+] Feedback

I appear to be having a problem with the open beta...

I have no sound at all. I opted into the beta and there is no music, no engine noises, UI effects, nothing. I opted out and went back into the current version of the game and I had sound again. Is anyone else having this issue?

Thanks.

Re: Open Beta [B151127+] Feedback

Can't find anything strange about the sound on our end here and it works perfectly fine for others. Thanks for confirming with the audio mixing.
Have you tried the oldest trick in the book: a system restart? :D

If that isn't the problem then please send us an email to contact@camshaftsoftware.com with the gamelog.txt (you find it in Documents\My Games\Automation) and a DXDiag. http://wiki.automationgame.com/index.ph ... ation_File
That may reveal the issue, although it is weird that it did work in older versions of the game.

or a validate game cache. may of failed to update the fmod.dll and fmodstudio.dll and is the old version with the new sound banks. And hence can't load them. The log may give me a clearer idea.

I feel like that might be a problem because I opened the soundlog.txt file and this was what was inside...

Re: Open Beta [B151127+] Feedback

I have the same problem, the game will not play sound over my sound card, and it would before. However, I do get sound if I switch it to my TV, which gets sound through my graphics card
Edit: Can confirm the issue is fixed by switching from 24bit/128kHz to 16bit/48kHz

Re: Open Beta [B151127+] Feedback

I doesn't have any sound in Automation: the music doesn't sound, but other programs works.

I think that the Steam audio doesn't work, but I looked the mixer sound of Windows, and the Automation and Steam audio is at 100%.

Any solution?

Re: Open Beta [B151127+] Feedback

When I finish the whole engine and went back to adjust the bore or stroke of the engine family (in the first tab) made before 1970 (1940-1969) it threw this error at me. 1970-2020 works okay.

Re: Open Beta [B151127+] Feedback

I checked all sound setting ( un windows, steam and ingame settings), and all is at 100% of volumen, and Automation doesnt sound nothing, including the intro, that doesnt sound the automation theme music. I checked all game cache. Any user have the same problem, or knows how to solve this issue?

Ah! And other bug: when you try to make an v12 engine inside the car designer, and you select the exhaust system, the game gives a lua error. I will sent later. This in any car and model, including a new model or new variant. In the engine designer, the engine works without errores.
