The pink issue is due to some fixture that doesn't belong to the vanilla pack, and wasn't downloaded from the workshop, in my case, a badge
. It happened to me also. I've swapped the badge and the issue was solved!

On that subject anyone figure out a way to sort out the duplicate fixtures from when they were mods to the ones recently added without all your cars getting lost in the process?

I solved this issue getting back to the model fixtures widget, go to engines, and going now to trim fixtures (or trim settings, I can't remember well).

I am having trouble getting this latest B150918+ version. I am still on B1507... for steam. How do I get the new version?

Ignore my last post. I found out I had to go into the properties of the game and opt in for the beta manually. I don't use Steam except for this game so sorry.

Good luck with the beta, then; personally, I'm not sure if I want to stick with Steam anymore; I have had *so many* problems loading the game properly that it's basically a miracle when it *does* work. And what's funny is, Steam seems to work alright with most everything else I have on there. :(

There are some issues currently with the test track. They should get fixed before the public release of that patch.

Well, with all these bugs going around, I don't think I'll be opting "in" to this open beta

- updating the game for me requires six flights of stairs with a desktop plus a 20 minute drive each way to use the internet -

That said, is there any idea when a more stable release might be put out there?

Re: Open Beta [B150918+] Feedback

For people who can't stand bugs and glitches, clearly participation in the open beta would not be right for you. Just wait for the next general release (whenever that is. .. because the devs will be busy fixing the bugs being found in this phase).

To those who are working through and finding bugs - thanks. You're helping advance the software and find problems so theywon't be fixed and make the game better.

Re: Open Beta [B150918+] Feedback

The button used to access the companies page in the sandbox sends me to the engines page instead on occasion. A few times I have had to click the button again and again before I finally get the companies page instead of the engines page. There also appears to be an invisible button on the engine page where the button to get to the engine page from the car page usually is (Seems to only show up if you don't move your mouse after clicking the button on the previous page).

Re: Open Beta [B150918+] Feedback

Just wanted to report (in case it hasn't been already) that when I load a pre-beta made car there is no issue with the fixtures. However, after going back to the model section the purple bug on the car car appears and actually causes fixtures to get lost. On one of the cars I made only had the grill, 1 set of handles and the taillights remaining. Additional fixtures were lost and the headlights too.

Also, but perhaps that is just me, could we see somewhere what the safety and emission limits are for certain markets in for example 2015? I would like to see those in game for each market, as some cars now do not sell (because they are not safe enough), but I cannot see what the lower limit for safety is.

To the people worried about bugs and updating, personally it feels better than the previous version, it seems a lot more playable without all of the saving glitches.

I'm not sure if its related to this patch, but tried to make 72' car based on tech from Mercedes 300SEL and realised i cant choose 4speed automatic. is it intended? Afaik, 4speed autos were common in 70's

Other than that update is awesome, only game slowed sooooo much, not sure why.

Re: Open Beta [B150918+] Feedback

When i started at my workplace, one of the cars was a Volvo 745 with an auto trans. That one was a 3 speed with owerdrive, built in the '80s. So 4 speed autos, common during the '70s? .... not so sure.

Mercedes was ahead of its time, so no, it doesn't have to be available at that point in the game because the tech pool / research in the game will allow you to unlock parts earlier. We may move it slightly though, 8 years (it unlocks '80 right now) might be a little much.

if i remember what you said earlier if a company is really good they can unlock stuff up to 15 years in advance, so it might be a possibility in the future

Ever since I purchased Automation I have yet been able to play the game. When I downloaded the content, it keeps giving me the option to play demo mode. What am I doing wrong?
