Upon what basis are you making that statement and what do you actually think it means? At least in sandbox mode, different people spend different amounts of time on their cars: some can spend 20 minutes and come up with something good, but then spend hours not knowing what to call it. Through the beta testing phase for the latest release, for any given target demographics, I would make a model within 10 minutes, and spend maybe 5 more on several trims, and have something that suited the designated criteria.
Those who spend hours or days on their cars are more likely to either have more specific visions on what they want their car to be, or are less decisive. Not all changes are kept. More time spent doesn't actually mean more went into the car, since we all have the same amount of options to play with. I think I'm probably the slowest player by a big margin, as it takes me
months (not an exaggeration) to settle on the final design of a car, during which I will probably have worked and reworked it three or four times. During this time, I revisit absolutely every aspect of the car. That's because of the way I see my fantasy company, and weigh the importance of the extremely small lineup, such that I won't accept anything less than 100% confidence that the car I release represents the company. But then again, I'm notorious for my extreme OCD when it comes to car design. My point there is, I certainly wouldn't hold anybody else to the same standard, or think that any other car that hasn't had months of development is going to be missing something. The beauty of this simulation is, the hard information is in the numbers.
As we can't actually get your car to work, would you mind providing screenshots of the stats etc.?
