So yeah 4-5x total cost would be closer. But you're going to need to up that comfort for that market.

I actually looked this up at one point: the legal requirement in the US for stopping distance is 70 meters (~230 ft). Taking a Consumer Reports page off Google, it looks like 45 m (150 ft) was toward the long end of braking distances in 2011, but presumably when the braking distance requirement was first imposed in 1968 there was some need for it.
