Re: greetings

You should be able to build some good ol' aussie muscle without modifying the game. As well as almost any production car from the mid forties to present day.

All the games data files are build using either lua or xml files. So should be modifiable by the community.

The main issue will be new models and art assets, as they are restricted to the format of the engine we are using. We will probably make exporters and asset managers available with the game.

Once the game is later in production, I will be more satisfied to state what will, or will not be do able.

But, we do not want to be seen as stiffiling modding to push DLC, as we do have plans for some DLC in the future

Re: greetings

good stuff, i am looking at a few different games, and yours is on my radar, i'm watching with keen interest. i did look at another *who will remain nameless* but he's just not willing to budge on the modding thing...says it will cost too much which is complete rubbish..but thats a topic for another day...

if it's editable..i'm willing to pay for the end product..keep going guys.

Re: greetings

We are aiming to have some form on in game car modelling.

The idea is people can make any production car.

You will be able to make cars like a V8 Falcon, a Polo, a boxy volvo wagon, a MX-5.

Re: greetings

No, thats kind of the point though, we aim for the in game tools to allow you to replicate something pretty much exactly like that Falcon Coupe or any other car you could name, No modding required.

You'd have all the appropriate mechanical options to make it mechanicaly the same, and you'd be able to get it looking very similar in the design tools :)

Re: greetings

No plans for racing as yet, its pretty much more about designing and selling the cars, its a "tycoon" sort of game, and I guess a little similar to gearhead garage -

http://automationgame.com/node/1 might give you a better idea of the plan :)
