Re: Help us out: How should the building interiors look?

Building interiors could just work like building the exterior, with all kinds of objects like radios air vents, guages, shifters and so on.

Also being able to put in seating, everything from just one seat for the driver to two bench seats that can take three people per row (even in the small hatchbacks) would make Automation even more fun to play around with.

I'm just saying, this has such potential.

Well, I mean guages like that.. you know.. you put on walls and on.. and...

OK you got me, I did not read the first post ;)

I had no idea building interiors of BUILDINGS was part of automation, this game is going to take eons to finish, haha.

Hey, gauges and shifters and vents on the wall could be cool.

But seriously, have like half finished dashes and various car parts like mounted on the walls, and on the ground.
Drawings, papers everywhere. Tools, parts on the ground, slightly cluttered.

Make it look like an old warehouse.
(These things probably have all ready been said)

If you're going to have multiple locations, it would be neat to see a few odd locations. A beat up garage (like someone building a kit-car or a prototype in their home garage) and a barn (supposedly, can't find any sources but that's where the first vipers were put together).

hmmm good topic..

it would be nice if the garage or working place has all inside what we can dream about a good customization place.

carlift, dynometer, varnisher, saddler, tooling station, compressed air tools and stuff

Re: Help us out: How should the building interiors look?

Will we have the option to remain a low volume hand built car manafacturer, or high volume assembly line?
Both interiors would obviously look very differently.... ;)

It would be really cool if we could have our company's logo displayed somewhere or maybe painted on the floor. It would give it a bit of a personalized touch.

Re: Help us out: How should the building interiors look?

Agree with previous posts. some industrial style tooling in the corners would be evocative of DIY engineering! Pillar drills, giant lathes, millers, english wheels, mig welder the list goes on!!

and then into the future these can be replaced with "5axis" waterjet, rapid prototyper, CAD workstation etc etc

:D
