Re: Introductions

Name: Calvin 'Drake'

Occupation: a little of this, a litte of that..

Location: Vancouver, Canada

Interests: Games of almost all genres. Cars, Music

Vehicles Currently Owned: 86' F-250 Diesel.. Its not very fast, but its still fun to drive.. especially when Idiots tailgate me.. (5mph bumpers + trailer hitch ftw.. hehehe)

Reasonable Dream Car: 74' 260Z with bored, stroked & tuned 280Z engine & 5 speed.

Dream Garage Vehicles: 67' Ferrari 275 GTB/4, Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA, Alfa Romeo Montreal, Alfa Romeo GTV6, Aston Martin DB5 or DB6, Lancia Delta HF Integrale, Lancia Stratos, Lancia Fulvia, Lotus Elan, Lotus Esprit V8, C10 Skyline GT-R, C110 Skyline GT-R.. I better leave it at that or I might be here all day ;)

Previous Vehicles of Interest: None.. yet

About: Im fan of Detriot and Motor City(aka Oldtimer) which were the only 2 good games in this genre, but I always thought they were lacking in detail..

About 6-7 Years ago I thought up a game concept for a car industry type game that would allow you to customize pretty much every aspect of a car and its parts. When I told people about this idea they thought it was cool, but they didn't think it could be done..

It always was one of my dream game concepts that I never thought would be created. So imagine my suprise when years later I came across this website when I was bored of playing Motor-city one day.

This game is EVERYTHING I dreamed of for a car company game.

I think one of the chalanges to your success is that because so few games of this type were ever made, there are many people who would buy this game that just aren't aware of its existance.

I think what you guys really need todo is get a major game review site like gamespot to do a preview once the engine builder is released.. If this were on the front page of gamespot it would attract tons of people who love cars & tuning.

I dont think I have ever been this excited for the release of a game. So keep up the good work, I think you guys are doing a great job. :D

Name: Adam Tokar

Occupation: printer operator at a flag-making business

Location: Budapest, Hungary

Interests: cars, military history, rock and heavy metal music

Vehicles Currently Owned: 2003 Hyundai Getz

Dream Garage Vehicles:
European cars: BMW 2002tii, Alfa Romeo GTV 1750, Citroen SM, 1965 Ferrari 275 GTB, 1969 Ferrari Dino 246GT, 1974 Porsche 911 RSR

About: My computer broke down a couple weeks ago. I can't afford to buy a new one, so I put together a PC from various parts I found at home. It's slow as hell, so my games can't run on it. So I started to browse at old-game sites, where I found my old favourite: "Detroit".

I've installed it and had some fun with it, but hey, that game is really dated now and it's not detailed enough for a car-freak like me. :( This morning I googled "Detroit" and at the bottom of its Wiki page I've found "Automation"! I browsed this site, and I surprised a lot: you guys are making a game, what I've been dreaming of for many-many years!
Keep up the good work!

One of my favourite games is "Combat Mission". It's also made by a small team: 3-4 people. And it's the most detailed and most hardcore tactical strategy game ever made! Made by WW2 fans for WW2-fans, not by money-hungry people for 8 year old kids.
I hope "Automation" will be the "Combat Mission" for the car freaks. :)

Awesome.

If you take the same attention to detail in that game as this one you may very well develope 2/3 of my dream games. :D
